Hi, I’m Sarah Jensen — a licensed clinical social worker in Fairbanks, Alaska, specializing in postpartum/perinatal mental health, anxiety, depression, relational concerns, and life transitions.

I approach my therapy work with curiosity and humor. I believe the therapeutic relationship should feel safe and grounding; a space to pause, reflect, and find clarity. My role is to listen deeply; help you make sense of your thoughts, emotions, and experiences; and support you as you move toward lasting change.
Over the years, I’ve had the privilege of working with individuals navigating everything from the challenges of new parenthood to the weight of depression and grief , to the nuances of relational concerns and major life transitions.
I am certified in perinatal mental health (PMH-C), and much of my work centers around supporting new and expecting parents through the unique challenges of this season of life.
Clients often appreciate my balance of warmth, insight, and gentle directness. I value creating an environment where you don’t feel judged or rushed — just understood.

I earned my Master of Social Work (MSW) in 2019 and have been dedicated to supporting individuals through life’s challenges ever since. Following graduation, I worked with students at University of Alaska Fairbanks, where I provided individual counseling, facilitated psychoeducational groups, and developed and led mental health trainings on a variety of wellness topics. This work allowed me to support undergraduate and graduate students navigating academic stress, life transitions, identity development, relationships, and emerging mental health concerns.
In 2023, I transitioned into private practice, where I expanded my focus to include working with the perinatal population. I am passionate about supporting individuals and families through pregnancy, postpartum adjustment, and the emotional complexities of early parenthood.
Outside of therapy, I love to be outdoors in every season Alaska offers. You may find me biking, skiing, or out with my family. At home I enjoy growing food and flowers in my garden, crafting, cooking, and reading.

I work with people who feel lost in big life changes, whose old coping mechanisms aren’t working anymore, or who are curious to learn more about themselves and how they relate to the world around them.
Whether you’ve had previous experience with therapy or are completely new to the process, I would be honored to support you. If you’re ready to begin, I invite you to reach out. Let’s figure this out together.
