  • A consultation call is a brief (usually 10-15 minutes), informal phone conversation before scheduling your first appointment. It is an opportunity for you to share more about your reasons for seeking counseling, what you’re looking for with therapy, ask questions, and get a feel for whether we might be a good fit for working together. No pressure, just a chance to connect and gather information.

  • The folks I work with seek counseling for a variety of reasons. I typically see the following:

    • Anxiety and chronic worry

    • Depression

    • Postpartum depression, postpartum anxiety and other perinatal concerns

    • Pregnancy-related mood changes

    • Identity shifts in parenthood

    • Burnout and high-achiever stress

    • Body image concerns

    • Major life transitions

    • Stress Management

    • Relationship challenges

    • Adjustment to relocation or homesickness

    Many of my clients include:

    • Expecting or new parents navigating the identity shift into parenthood

    • High-achieving people experiencing stress or burnout

    • Individuals struggling with body image

    • People in significant life transitions including relocation, career shifts, and other major changes

    • Curious, reflective adults who are open to exploring new perspectives and trying something different.

  • Sessions are typically 55 minutes long. Clients often start with weekly sessions but frequency can be adjusted based on your needs, goals, progress, and life circumstances. The aim is to find a frequency that works for your schedule and still feels beneficial.

  • I offer in-person appointments to individuals located in Fairbanks and telehealth appointments to individuals all across the state of Alaska. Telehealth sessions are conducted through a secure, HIPAA compliant platform.

  • Yes. I accept all major private insurances and am in-network with BCBS and Tricare/Triwest. I also offer cash pay and sliding scale options. If you have additional questions about payment and/or insurance please contact the administrative staff at Continuing Hope Counseling (907) 451-8208.
